Description

The Argenti Mausoleum, located on the north side of the Greek Burial Ground in West Norwood Memorial Park, is a mausoleum built in the late 19th century, with the designer unknown. It is constructed from granite and features a square plan. The mausoleum is designed in an Egyptian style, resting on a moulded base. It has massive clasping pilasters with fluted capitals that support an entablature adorned with a coved, fluted frieze. The central Vitruvian opening has a stepped head and sturdy, studded, bronze double doors, with an inset panel above that is inscribed "P.A. Argenti." At the rear, there is a cross-shaped window opening.
