Description

The Tomb of Joseph Hume, who died in 1855, is located in Kensal Green Cemetery. It features a large slab with a coped cover made of grey Cornish granite, resting on a two-stage base supported by ten posts. The tomb is adorned with capital letter inscriptions and is designed in a style similar to the nearby Duke of Sussex monument. Joseph Hume was a significant Radical Member of Parliament and a co-founder of University College, London.
