Description
The Tomb of John Lucas, who died in 1874, is located in Kensal Green Cemetery. It features an obelisk made of grey Cornish granite, which is adorned with portrait and inscription plaques crafted from Carrara marble. The obelisk stands on a square base made of Portland stone. John Lucas was a notable mid-Victorian portrait painter, exhibiting his work at the Royal Academy from 1828 to 1874.
