Description
These are a row of four-storey houses dating from the mid-19th century, originally conceived as groups linked by low entrance wings, but now largely forming a continuous terrace. The houses are stuccoed and each has three windows. They are designed in a distinctive classical style. The ground floor is rusticated, featuring round-arched windows and engaged Doric entrance porticos, some of which extend as colonnades. The upper floors have a rich architectural treatment with pilastered windows and balconies. Numbers 16 and 17 have an additional storey. The properties have undergone other alterations.
