Description

This is a terrace of six houses, numbered 2 to 14 Mill Road, dating to around 1840. The houses are two storeys high and have stuccoed facades with slate roofs, each featuring a hipped dormer window. A parapet runs along the roofline, incorporating a dropped moulded eaves cornice with modillions and a moulded stringcourse. The houses are divided by plain pilasters, which support Corinthian capitals on the first floor. The ground floors are rusticated. Each house has a single sash window on each floor, with moulded architraves above the first-floor windows. Each house also has a round-headed doorcase. The houses, numbered 2 to 14, form a cohesive group.
