Description

The Tomb of William Price Lewis, located in Kensal Green Cemetery, dates from around 1840 and is made of Portland stone. It features a squat obelisk with battered sides and anthemion finials. The central stage includes shallow segmental pediments that contain armorial or anthemion reliefs, which are flanked by angle acroteria. There is also a sandstone slab covering the entrance to the vault. This tomb is a notable example of the first generation of neo-classical cemetery monuments in Kensal Green.
