GLOUCESTER ROAD SW7 Nos 2 to 32 (even) No 34 (The Gloucester Public House)

Terrace, mainly shops save for Nos 2-8 which are dwelling houses. Early C19. Three storeys, stucco. Each 2 sash windows wide. End 4 houses advanced. Three light sash window and round-headed door on ground floor. First floor with architraves and pediments on consoles and cast iron balconies. Second floor with sash windows with architrave surrounds. Modillion cornice and blocking course. Other houses with no pediments or balconies. Central house, 18 and 20 with cornices to first floor windows, full height Ionic pilasters between windows (capitals gone to No 18). Good late C19 shop fronts. The Gloucester has a good later C19 public house front with paired Corinthian pilasters supporting a cornice with consoles and dentils.
