Description

The pair of semi-detached houses at 28 and 29 Kensington Gate were built in 1847 by C.F. Bell as part of a unified development with numbers 1 to 27. They are stucco-faced and comprise three storeys with basements. The design is symmetrical and similar to numbers 2 and 3, 14 and 15, and 16 and 17 on the same street. The ground floors are rusticated with quoins, and feature an Ionic portico. A modillion cornice runs along the building, topped by square towers. A balustrade adorns the porch roof. Original cast iron area railings are present. The buildings are in an unspoilt condition.
