Description
No. 4 Palace Gate is a detached house built in 1873 by E. Salomons and J. P. Jones. The building is constructed of brick and stucco and has two storeys, a basement, and an additional roof storey. It features five windows across the front, with the central window being recessed and flanked by a Doric porch. The ground floor windows have pediments, and there are pedimented dormers on the slated mansard roof. Tall brick chimneys are located on each side of the house.
