Description

This is a row of terraced houses located on the south-east side of Wilton Square, built between 1851 and 1852. The development was undertaken by Edward Rowland and Thomas Evans. The houses are constructed of yellow and brown brick laid in a Flemish bond pattern, with stucco detailing, and their roofs are largely hidden behind parapets. Each house has two floors above a basement, with two windows on each floor.

The basement is stuccoed and features a moulded storey band. Steps lead to a flat-arched entrance, which has pilasters, a pediment supported by consoles, and an overlight. All windows are segmental-arched and have moulded stucco architraves; numbers 30 to 32 have dropped sills, while numbers 33 to 39 have a continuous sill band. A cornice and blocking course run along the top of the houses, although the cornice is simplified on numbers 30 to 32 and is missing entirely from numbers 35 and 39. A later 20th-century mansard roof with dormers has been added to number 30. Party wall stacks rise above the roofs. Cast-iron railings are attached to the area in front of the houses.
