Description
The war memorial was designed in 1921 by Thomas Rudge. It features a bronze Angel of Victory, depicted holding a wreath in outstretched hands, and standing upon a globe. This figure is mounted on a square granite plinth that tapers upwards, with a moulded cornice and base, and is embellished with four bronze plaques illustrating the Finsbury Rifles attacking Gaza. The memorial is accessed by two steps.
