Description
This is a terrace of eight houses built around 1836. The houses are made of yellow stock brick arranged in Flemish bond, with a rusticated stucco ground floor and a plain band at the first floor level. The roofs are hidden by a parapet, and there are party-wall brick stacks. The terrace has three storeys and a basement, with two windows for each house. The facade is symmetrical, featuring a projecting central bay for numbers 103 and 105.
The layout includes a side hall entrance plan with a staircase. Steps lead up to the entrance of number 97, which has an additional entrance bay, while number 111 has its entrance on the right return in Thornhill Road. Each doorway has pilaster jambs supporting a corniced head, along with a patterned fanlight and a panelled door. The ground-floor openings are round-arched, and the upper floors have architraved sash windows with cornices and cast iron balconies at the first floor. There is a stucco cornice and a blocking course at the top. The terrace is complemented by attached iron railings featuring torch flambe finials.
