Description
Number 28 is a terraced house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brown and yellow brick arranged in Flemish bond, topped with a clay tile roof. The building has three storeys above a basement and features a three-window range. There are steps leading up to a round-arched entrance, which has a doorcase with one set of pilasters within another, with the inner pilasters being reeded and topped with a cornice. The entrance also includes a fanlight with decorative glazing.
All the windows are segmental-arched, with the ground and first-floor windows having frames that are almost flush with the wall. The ground-floor windows feature heads made of gauged red brick, while the first and second-floor windows are made of yellow brick. It appears that the house may have been rebuilt above the first-floor windows. The building has a parapet and is complemented by area railings that have spearhead finials.
