Description
Number 14 is a terraced house located on Charterhouse Square, built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features yellow brick set in Flemish bond and has a slate roof. The building rises five storeys above a basement and has a three-window range. The basement, ground, and first floors are stuccoed. The entrance is flat-arched with a moulded stucco architrave, an overlight, and a panelled door of original design. The ground-floor windows are flat-arched, while the first-floor windows are round-arched and have a bracketed balcony with iron railings. The second- and third-floor windows are flat-arched with gauged brick heads. There is a brick dentil cornice at the parapet, which features three dormers in a mansard roof, and an end stack on the west side. The property is complemented by cast-iron railings in the area, which have urn standards and spearhead finials.
