Description
Four lamp posts located in Charterhouse Square, dating from the early to mid-19th century, are made of cast iron. Two of the lamp posts flank the entrance to Charterhouse and are from the mid-19th century, featuring fluted standards and scrolled necks. The lamp post on the right has a Windsor lantern, while the one on the left has a ladder bar but is missing a lantern. On the south-west side, there is an early 19th-century lamp post with an octagonal standard, a ladder bar, and a circular lantern topped with a palmette corona. On the north side, a mid-19th-century lamp post also has an octagonal standard, but it does not have a ladder bar and features a circular lantern with a palmette corona.
