Description

This is a terrace of houses located on Hemingford Road, Islington, dated 1846. They are grouped for their group value. The terrace is built of stock brick with a concealed roof behind a parapet. The houses are three storeys high and include a basement level. Each house has a two-window range, featuring 6/6 sash windows and a symmetrical composition around a six-bay central section. The central section projects slightly and has channelled stucco to the ground floor and stucco surrounds to the first and second floor windows, culminating in a plain pediment. The remaining windows are plain. Cast-iron window-box holders are present on most first-floor windows. The terrace was originally named 'Thornhill Terrace'. A 20th-century shopfront has been added to number 113.
