Description
Nos 95 and 97 Fortis Green are an early to mid-19th century pair of houses, each three storeys high with one window in the main block. They feature a two-storey entrance extension that is slightly set back and a one-storey side wing that aligns with the main block. The buildings are constructed of stock brick and have cill bands on the first and second floors. The roofs are moderately low pitched, hipped, and slated, with eaves soffits on both the main block and the wings. The entrances are linked by stone-coped parapets that ramp up to the main block. The sash windows are topped with gauged, near-flat brick arches. Each house has a slightly projecting Doric porch with triglyph friezes, leading to half-glazed four-panel doors with rectangular fanlights. All windows, except those in the links, are set within full-height raised panels. Nos 83 to 97 (odd) form a group.
