Description
No 5 is a terraced house dating from the late 18th or early 19th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of brown brick and has three storeys plus a basement, featuring two windows across the front. There are curved iron balconies on the first floor, and the entrance is located in an extension to the right, which has been altered. The building has a stuccoed parapet, and the roof is not visible. Wrought iron area railings are present. A plaque from the Greater London Council commemorates the residence of Harold Laski, a teacher and political philosopher, who lived here from 1893 to 1950, specifically between 1926 and 1950.
