Description
This is a row of six to fifteen houses on Croston Street, dating from the early to mid-19th century. The houses are linked in pairs, each having two storeys and a basement, with one window in the main block and another set back. They are faced in stucco, with stock brick visible. The roofs are slate, with gable ends shaped like pediments facing the road. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set in stucco surrounds with round-headed, gauged brick arches. The front doors are four-panelled, each with a patterned fanlight above. Cast or wrought iron area railings are present. Numbers six and seven have an additional, blank window at the centre. Nos 6-15 form a group with Nos 4-18 (even) and Nos 5-23 (odd) on Dericote Street.
