Description
No. 91 on Stoke Newington Church Street is a mid-18th century house that stands three storeys tall with a basement and features three windows. The building is constructed of brown brick, which has been colorwashed red. At the top, there is a stone-coped parapet that rises to a low pediment shape at the front, which includes an oval recess. The brickwork includes gauged bricks for the parapet and flat window arches, although the windows have been altered to modern small-paned casements and late 19th-century sashes.
Access to the house is via three steps that have curved wrought iron railings, leading to a prostyle Doric porch adorned with triglyphs, guttae, and a mutule cornice. The entrance features a top-glazed six-panel door, complemented by a patterned radial fanlight set within a panelled reveal that has an impost string. Additionally, there are wrought iron area railings surrounding the property.
No. 91 is part of a group with Nos. 75 to 93 (odd) and the forecourt walls to No. 91.
