Description

No 89 on Church Street in Stoke Newington is a late 18th-century house that stands three storeys high with a basement and features four windows. The building is constructed from stock brick and has a stone-coped parapet. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are topped with gauged flat brick arches and set in stucco lined reveals. The entrance includes a six-panel door within a panelled reveal, topped by a cornice head that extends as an impost string, and a radial fanlight above. Remnants of a Doric porch can be seen in the back pilasters and part of the soffit. Additionally, there are 19th-century gothic cast iron area railings. An extra door has been inserted on the left side, which features a tall fanlight. This property is part of a group with Nos 75 to 93 (odd) and the forecourt walls to No 91.
