Early-mid C18 pair, each originally 3 storeys and basement, 3 windows. An extra storey added in mid C19. Brown brick with red brick dressings. Frieze and cornice at 3rd floor level. Finely-gauged shallow segmental brick arches to later sash windows some with glazing bars. Parapet coping of red brick and stone. Ground floors and basements stucco with incised lines. No 85 has door of 5 fielded panels, No 87 modern door, both in panelled reveals. Handsome doorcases of eared architraves enriched with egg-and-dart moulding, friezes with garlands and central masks, and console bracketed, moulded and dentilled cornice and pediment. No 85 has lengthened 1st floor windows to early C19 cast iron balconies.
Nos 75 to 93 (odd) form a group with the forecourt walls to No 91.
