Description
Number 15 is a terraced house located on Took's Court, dating from around 1720. It is constructed of brown brick with tuckpointing and red brick dressings, topped with a tiled mansard roof featuring dormers. The building has three storeys, an attic, and a basement, with three windows on the front. Ionic pilasters frame the sides of the house, extending to the full height and supporting an architrave and a pulvinated frieze above, along with a continuous dentil cornice. The entrance features a wood doorcase with a segmental-headed oblong fanlight, panelled reveals, and pilasters set within rusticated surrounds. It also includes consoles and a dentil cornice with a segmental pediment, leading to a panelled door. The windows have red brick segmental arches above recessed sash windows, and there is a parapet at the top.
The interior has not been inspected but is noted to retain original panelling, along with a staircase that has an open string, carved brackets, a column newel, and turned balusters. Additionally, there are attached 20th-century railings.
