Description

This is a terrace of six houses, numbers 63 to 68, built around 1792 and restored in approximately 1985, with number 64 being refronted at that time. The houses are constructed of darkened stock brick, with later patching, and have a plain stucco band at the level of the first-floor sills. Number 68 has a slate mansard roof with dormers. The houses are generally four storeys high with a basement, except for number 68, which is three storeys high with an attic and basement.

Numbers 63 and 64 have round-arched ground-floor openings, each with a keystone, and are linked by impost bands; a plain stucco band runs at the first-floor level. All the houses have round-arched doorways, featuring radial patterned fanlights and panelled doors. The recessed sash windows are topped with flat arches constructed of gauged brick. The houses have parapets. The interiors have not been inspected. Attached cast-iron railings, topped with urn finials, define the areas.
