Description

There are eleven lamp posts located in the center of the road between Goodge Street and Warren Street. These lamp posts were first lit in January 1892 and were cast by Johnson and Phillips of London. They feature tall cast-iron columns with decorative acanthus leaves at the bases. In 1937, the lamp posts underwent alterations, which included the addition of double swan-neck fittings and repositioning of many of them.
