Description
No. 2 Maple Street is a terraced house that was later converted into a shop, now part of The Roebuck Public House, which is adjacent but not included in this listing. It dates from around 1777-1778. The building is constructed from multi-coloured stock brick, with later patches of yellow stock brick. The ground floor is finished in stucco. It features a wooden shopfront with pilasters that support an entablature, which has an inswept frieze and a projecting cornice. The shop window and doorway have been altered in the 20th century. There are gauged red brick flat arches above the recessed sash windows, and the building has a parapet. The interior has not been inspected.
