Description

A two-house property, now a single detached house, dates from the late 18th century and has undergone considerable alteration. The building is stuccoed, with weatherboard extensions to the rear. It has two storeys and a basement, presenting a long, low, irregular six-window frontage. A three-window canted bay window projects from the ground and first floors on the right-hand side. There are three entrances, including a main, north-facing doorway with a 20th-century bracketed hood, and a south-facing doorway with a 20th-century portico. The windows are recessed sash windows with exposed boxing. The building is finished with a cornice and parapet. The interior has not been inspected. A historical note records that the actress Sarah Siddons stayed at the house from 1804 to 1805, commemorated by an ā€œSā€ above the door.
