Description
No. 1 Upper Terrace is an end of terrace house built around 1740, with an early 19th-century canted bay extension at the east end. The house is constructed of brown brick, while the bay extension features multi-coloured stock brick. It has a tiled mansard roof with dormers and stands three storeys tall with attics. The facade includes three windows and a three-window bay extension. The former main doorway has been altered to serve as a window, with the entrance now located on the return side at the east. The windows feature gauged red brick flat arches and slightly recessed sashes with exposed boxing. The first floor has a stucco sill string, and the ground floor includes French windows with three lights. The interior has not been inspected.
