Description
No. 3 Keats Grove is a terraced house dating from the early 19th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of yellow stock brick, featuring a channelled stucco ground floor and a plain stucco band at the first floor. The roof is slated with boxed eaves and tall slab chimney-stacks. The house has two storeys and a basement, and is double fronted with three windows. There is a later one-storey, one-window extension to the right and a late 20th-century two-storey, one-window extension to the left.
The entrance is marked by a projecting portico supported by pilaster strips, which holds an elliptical arch with a patterned fanlight, a cornice, and a blocking course. The doorway features panelled pilaster-jambs that carry a cornice head, with double panelled doors. The windows are recessed sashes, with those on the first floor having gauged brick flat arches. The interior has not been inspected.
