Description
The monument to Frederick Ibbetson, who died in 1894, is located in Highgate (Western) Cemetery. It is a tall, three-stage structure made of grey and pink granite. The base is square with coving that is inscribed with the name "IBBETSON." The central section features engaged angle columns and a relief portrait on the front face, along with a cornice and urns at each corner of the entablature. The upper stage consists of a dome over an octagonal shaft, topped with a cross terminal. The monument is signed "Underwood."
