Description

No. 8 Northington Street is a terraced house and shop dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brown brick with patches of multi-coloured stock brick. The building has three storeys and features two windows. The shopfront is well-designed, with wooden pilasters that support an entablature topped with a dentil cornice. The shop window is slightly bowed, with large panes and a wrought-iron grill. Both the shop and house doorways have panelled doors and rectangular fanlights above them. The windows are adorned with gauged brick flat arches that have been reddened, and the building is topped with a parapet. The interior has not been inspected.
