Description
The lodge house and main entrance to The Elms was built around 1840 by George Basevi. It features stucco octagonal gate piers with moulded capitals. The Gothic-style lodge has a cross roof covered with fishscale slates, part of which is adorned with cresting. It is a single-storey structure with narrow, recessed windows that have 20th-century glazing. The gables are decorated with carved bargeboards, and the entrance, which has a hood, is located on the right-hand return. The interior has not been inspected.
