Description
The garden steps and retaining walls in the grounds of Number 41 Witanhurst were built around 1913 by Harold Peto as part of his garden design for Sir Arthur Crosfield. The structure features a straight flight of stone steps that are flanked by a stepped wall, which originally had urns. These steps lead onto a paved terrace that is bordered by a stone retaining wall with a balustraded parapet. Opposite the steps is a viewing platform, which has steps leading from either side, all also featuring a balustraded parapet.
