Description
The Tomb of Mordaunt Allen Gwynne is located in Hampstead Cemetery and dates from around 1910. It was created by E.H. Mills, a monumental mason based in Hampstead. The tomb features a pedestal made of stone, which is inscribed and draped, and is topped by two sculptured winged angels in flowing robes. These angels are depicted assisting the soaring spirit of the deceased, with their hands joined in prayer and gazing upwards. The rectangular plot is enclosed by kerbing that has a moulded cornice and is inscribed with the mason's name and address.
