Description
The Tomb of Ardath de Sales Stean is located in Hampstead Cemetery and dates from around 1928. It features a figure and column memorial set on a kerbed plot made of stone. The rectangular plinth has an inscribed globe and is topped by a sculptured female figure in flowing robes, who has her right foot raised and is reaching up with her right hand towards a flower-filled urn. This urn is positioned atop a fluted Corinthian column, which stands on a plinth adorned with a sculptured wreath and a shaped inscribed plaque that forms scrolls at the corners. The kerbing of the plot includes roll moulding.
