Description
The tomb of James Wilson Pasha and his wife is located in Hampstead Cemetery and was built around 1906 by A MacDonald & Co. It is designed as a chest tomb in the style of an Egyptian temple, constructed from pink granite. The rectangular plinth supports a chest tomb with battered sides and an open center, featuring six lotus columns that hold up the top. The angles and cornice are adorned with carved binding, while the coved cornice displays incised leaves and a winged scarab above the inscribed end panel. James Wilson was an engineer who worked for the Egyptian government for 43 years.
