Description
The Tomb of General Forster Walker, built in 1866, is located in Kensal Green Cemetery. It was designed by Edward Blore and carved by J. Forsyth. The tomb features a Gothic style, constructed from Portland stone, with marble shafts set on a pink Peterhead granite base. The sides of the tomb are adorned with arcading that includes alternating cusped arches and lancets, supported by marble shafts above a moulded lower course. There are inscription panels with lead letters. The corners have buttresses with canopies that once held statuettes representing Faith, Hope, Charity, and Patience, which are now missing. Finials are positioned above these buttresses. Additionally, there is a marble achievement of arms on the southern end of the tomb.
