Description
The Regent's Canal Information Centre, originally a lock keeper's cottage, dates from the early 19th century and has had additions and alterations around 1975. The building is constructed of stucco and features two storeys with one window, along with a single-storey entrance wing that has three windows. The entrance includes a segmental arched doorway with a panelled door facing the canal, and there is a similar doorway with double glazed doors on the left side. The windows are segmental arched sashes, with the first floor set in a large shallow rectangular recess. A plain stucco band runs at cornice level, and the roof is topped with a crenellated parapet and two tall slab chimney-stacks. The interior has not been inspected. The building was extended, stuccoed, and crenellated around 1975.
