Description

Nos. 96 and 98 Fortess Road are a pair of early 19th-century end-of-terrace houses. They are constructed of stucco with hipped, slated roofs featuring projecting eaves. The houses extend to three storeys and have semi-basements, each with two windows. Side entrances are accessed by steps, with plain stucco surrounds to the panelled and partly glazed doors. No. 96 has a 20th-century doorway on the front facade. The windows are recessed sashes, with those on the ground floor set in shallow, round-arched recesses. No. 98 has casement windows with cast-iron balconies. Plain stucco sill bands are present on the first floor. The interiors have not been inspected.
