Pair of semi-detached houses. 1901. By CHB Quennell; built by GW Hart. Red brick with brick quoins to 1st floor angles. Tiled hipped and gabled roofs with dormers, chimney-stacks and overhanging bracketed eaves. Symmetrically designed pair. 2 storeys and attics. 3 windows each. Projecting outer gabled bays with canted bowed bay windows of sashes with glazing bars to upper halves only; 1st floors have Venetian type windows, the segmental arches protruding into the tile-hung gables; quoined angles with coved cornices to appear as pilasters with capitals. Entrances, at angles of outer and central bays, have porches each of a column on a pedestal supporting a cornice hood; panelled doors with overlights and sidelights of strips of small panes, approached by steps. Ground floor windows with gauged brick flat arches; No.6, a tripartite sash with glazing bars to upper half; No.8, transom and mullion casement with small leaded panes. Continuous 1st floor modillion brick band. 1st floor tripartite sashes and single sashes above porches. INTERIORS: not inspected.
