Description
Playford Farmhouse is a derelict farmhouse dating from the early 17th century. It has one-and-a-half storeys and a basic three-cell plan. The structure is timber-framed and plastered, showing traces of old pargetting, and features a pantiled roof. There is an internal chimney stack with a rendered shaft and an end stack on the west side, accompanied by a brick lean-to. The north front has two old three-light casement windows with cross-bars and three gabled dormers, while the rear has one gabled dormer. The farmhouse includes two plain doors, one of which is half-glazed. The frame consists of full-height studs that are widely spaced, with arched braces at the corners.
