Description
Three Waters is a former farmhouse dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. It has an L-shaped form with parts that are one-and-a-half storeys and parts that are two storeys with attics. The building is timber-framed and rendered, topped with a black glazed pantiled roof. There is an internal chimney stack with a mid-20th century rebuilt shaft in plain red brick, which replaced earlier hexagonal attached shafts.
The main range consists of two sections, with the south-eastern end featuring a slightly lower roofline. It has various two-light and three-light casement windows, some of which are 20th century replacements, while others are late 19th century with a single cross-bar to the lights. There is also one gabled dormer. The cross-wing of the building has an overhanging tie-beam at eaves level and retains its original four-light mullion-and-transom windows on both the ground and first storeys, which have a slightly projecting oriel form.
