Description
The Old Rectory is a former rectory dating from the early 19th century. It is a two-storey building that is timber-framed and rendered, topped with a slate roof featuring overhanging eaves. The soffit of the eaves is decorated with a distinctive raised lozenge motif. The building has small-paned sash windows in flush frames on both storeys, with the upper storey windows being shorter and having half-length panes at the top and bottom. Below a portico supported by fluted columns and pilasters, there are half-glazed double doors adorned with a Doric frieze and cornice. The garden front features four long late 19th-century French windows on the ground floor and four small-paned sash windows with half-panes at the top and bottom on the upper storey. To the east, there is a two-storey 19th-century extension that includes casement windows.
