Description

This is a churchyard memorial located in the Great Churchyard of Bury St Edmunds. It is a square box tomb with a pointed top, dating from 1811. The tomb commemorates Thomas Moore and several other members of his family, as well as numerous individuals from the families of McLeroth and Steele, most of whom do not have dates recorded. The earliest burial noted is that of John Steele from 1762, and the last burial was of Hannah Moore McLeroth in 1894.
