Description

This headstone, located in the Great Churchyard of Bury St Edmunds, dates from 1800 and is made of York stone. It features a cherub resting its left elbow on a skull within a tondo, alongside another cherub blowing a trumpet and holding a scroll, all set in a flattened oval. The carving is well-defined, although it has suffered from significant spalling.
