Description

A group of three monuments located in the Great Churchyard of Bury St Edmunds.

MONUMENT 57 is an 18th-century headstone made of Ketton stone, featuring three winged angel heads and drapes. MONUMENT 58 is a headstone from 1736, also made of Ketton stone, designed with crossed palms. It is inscribed: "In memory of Mr SAMUEL KING of this town Collar Maker died 1736 aged 46." MONUMENT 63 is a headstone dated 1702, dedicated to SAMUEL KING, showcasing a winged angel head flanked by skulls and an oval cartouche.
