House, now divided into flats. C18 and C19 with possible earlier core. Red brick; the east and west gables with blue headers to the ground and 1st storeys. Tiled half-hipped mansard roof with a modillion eaves cornice. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, attics and cellar. 5 window range: small-paned sashes in flush cased frames. 3 flat-headed dormers with small-paned sash windows. A central 6-panel door has a rectangular fanlight with geometric glazing-bars; doorcase with moulded architrave and a cornice hood on moulded console brackets. A 2-storey C19 rear block in red brick, with a raised band between storeys and a plaintiled roof, has segmental-arched large-paned sash windows. At the south-west corner of the rear is a small 2-storey section in flint and red brick with a steeply-pitched roof which runs into the main roof. This has one early C18 18-pane sash window and seems to be the oldest part of the house. INTERIOR: panelled internal shutters to the ground storey windows. A restored early C19 stair rises the full height of the house: stick balusters, ramped and wreathed handrail.
