Description
No. 2 Southgate Green is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It features a timber-framed and rendered front, with a rear constructed of brick and flint, topped by a black glazed pantiled roof. The house has two storeys and a cellar, with a three-window range that includes 12-pane sash windows in flush cased frames on each storey. The central door is topped by a shallow rectangular fanlight and has a flat cornice hood supported by console brackets. The interior includes a cellar that is contemporaneous with the rest of the house, but there are no exposed internal features of interest. A 20th-century staircase in Regency style is present.
