Description
Almore House is an early 19th-century white brick house located on the north side of High Street in Cavendish. It stands two storeys high and features a three-window range with double-hung sashes that have glazing bars set in plain reveals. The central doorway has a semi-circular arched head and a blocked fanlight above it. The roof is slate and gabled at both the east and west ends. Almore House is situated next to Corner Cottage and is part of a group that includes Church Cottages, Chinnerys, premises occupied by Chris Bolden & Co, the George Hotel, Cosy Nook, Mill occupied by A Kahn, Cavendish House, The Rectory, premises occupied by W J Cutting, Spring View, Middle Cottage, Water View, Canford House, and St Ronans.
