Description

There are two churchyard monuments located in the Great Churchyard of Bury St Edmunds. The first, Monument 82, is a headstone from the late 18th century or early 19th century made of Ketton stone. It features a winged angel head flanked by skulls. The second, Monument 93, is also a headstone, dated 1829 and made of Ketton stone. It is said to commemorate Mary Wicks, although the inscription is now illegible. This monument includes a very good cartouche with a winged angel head.
